When your boss or lecturer ask you to be creative in your work and assignments, most people will ask these questions. Me too. I always wonder lecturer ask us to be more creative, but they never taught us or tell us the way to be creative. " Think out of the box ", I can understand this but the problem is HOW?
There are six phase in the creativity process.
| The Creative Process has six phases… Inspiration: research and generate many ideas Clarification: focus on your goals Evaluation: review your work and learn from it Distillation: decide which of your ideas to work on Incubation: leave the work alone Perspiration: work determinedly on your best ideas To be creative, you cant skip any step above, you have to follow the steps and you can be creative. I haven try it yet but I will try it in future. :) For me, when I have to be creative, I will just follow my heart and do whatever I can think of. That's the way for me to be creative. I should change my way to be creative so that i can be more creative and really understand the meaning of " think out of the box". To be creative, you have to brave enough to think. Don't think about the idea will work or not, and think vertically. We as human, were taught to think horizontally since we were kids. For example, people always think that we cant use badminton racket to play ping pong. But why? this is because we were taught so. To be creative, we have to be deviant, do things out of the norms. “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.” ― Albert Einstein http://www.greenfields.u-net.com/docs/ |
